How to find UPCs

Sometimes a sweeps will ask for a product UPC (Universal Product Code, basically, a bar code number). Instead of buying the product or rushing out to the store, why not put the internet to work? Check out the UPC Database.

This website organizes products by type and manufacturer and has several sizes/varieties of products with different UPCs. It is completely free and is frequently updated with thousands of UPC codes.

The only drawback may be if a company has a specially-marked package for the contest with a different UPC than is provided on the database.
